Membership of the AAS is a yearly subscription running from 1st of April to 31st of March the following year.  

We offer concessionary rates for our older, disabled and unemployed  members, as well as our popular family membership.   AAS welcomes new members at any time throughout a year.  Please contact treasurer@aylesbury-astronomy.org.uk for details of your potential membership.

What do you get for your membership

• A welcome that makes our Society a friendly place to be
• Monthly general meetings on the first Monday of the month when a guest speaker will talk on an astronomical subject.  Currently these are via Zoom There can also be demonstrations and also DVD evenings
• Access to our observing site and telescopes
• Annual day trip out  -  usually to an astronomy related venue in the UK
• Quiz Night (Xmas Quiz)
• Our occasional Summer BBQ at the Observatory
• Opportunity to talk to fellow members, with varying degrees of expertise on all aspects of astronomy who can offer advice and instruction

   We are always looking to expand our membership  

However please don't feel pressured to join from the outset. If you want to come along to a ‘taster’ meeting first, that’s fine - see below AAS on Eventbrite and other ‘What’s On’ websites for more details of our next speaker session.  

Alternatively you may wish to apply at the next meeting, that’s fine too.
