Our Members

We have over 30 members in and around the Aylesbury. They have a wide range of interests in astronomy and all are keen to talk about their particular area. So please feel free to ask about any of the following:

  • Solar observing
  • CCD Imaging
  • Telescope making
  • Internet imaging (SOHO, SLOOH etc.)
  • Observatory construction
  • Mirror making and polishing
You may have other interests and we'd love to hear from you.

  Joining the Society

Our fees for the year 2007/08 are £27 for adults and £20 for children and concessions. The fees are determined at the Annual General Meeting.

Membership provides full access to our library, remote observing facility and 12 monthly newsletters. However before you join, why not come to a couple of the monthly meetings. Visitors only pay £2 per meeting and although you don't have access to the library and observatory, you can at least see what we have to offer.

You don't need any qualifications or equipment to join - just enthusiasm.

If you would like to ask any questions please do not hesitate anyone in the society contacts list.
