Good and poor sources of information

Please forward your favourite and least favourite sources of information on Astronomy or related subjects with a reason why you like or dislike them. This does not have to be web sites – books, magazines and TV programmes also qualify

The following shows night sky and other information about stars and planets, also position of satellites and space probes:

www.heavens-above.com/

The following gives nice night-sky information:
www.roe.ac.uk/vc/actpublic/observing/skyatnight.html though I cannot find the meaning of “U.T.” Could this be “University Time”?!

Via a link previously made known by Geoff Evans (www.astronomia.co.uk), I looked at discounted telescopes on www.telescopeoutlet.co.uk , they sell telescopes returned by purchasers who have upgraded to other models (so they say). The scopes are effectively new in boxes with significant discounts (eg. 25%) and checked before sale. Unfortunately this led to me buying one. The service is good and you can negotiate zero postage for larger purchases

I would not particularly recommend www.scopesnskies.com. The web site does not work well and they sometimes change your order (with permission) so you do get want you first desire necessarily
