Observing

Observing Nights take place at the Society's Observatory providing there is some possibility of observing, and providing an observing group including at least two adults, aged 18 and over, can be formed. We ask that all visitors read the Observing Guide

Future Observing Nights


The Colin Hunt Observatory, named after the main founder of our society, is located near Upper Winchendon, here


The Society currently uses a 12" GOTO Meade telescope which was kindly donated to the Society by the widow of one of our founder members, Tony Black, and also has portable 6 and 8 inch reflectors. The Colin Hunt observatory (the Dome) is currently not in use but a second observatory a short distance away on the same site has been constructed in its place
